Changing Ryder Cup Tickets

Ryder Cup Tickets

Well contrary to what has been said on previous articles on this site I just found out this morning that it is possible to change the name on your Ryder Cup tickets. You need to contact the Ryder Cup Ticket office by using their contact form on www.rcts.co.uk or by emailing them at names@rcts.co.uk. You will need to send the full details for the orginal ticket holder and for the name of the person you wish to assign it to (this includes passport numbers and full names, addresses and dates of birth).

The bad news I’m afraid is that having tried all contact methods this morning I still am awaiting a response from them. If anybody else has any experience with this, positive or negative, please do let us know.

Has anybody tried to gain entry on a ticket without their name on it? Are security maintaining strict policy with regard to this issue?

  2. Niall Nolan says:

In order to change names on tickets you need to send an email to Dave Oliver dave@a1gptb.com and he will make the name changes to your tickets.
I did it this morning and received confirmation of same.
You need to send Name on original ticket/ticket number/Passport number/DOB/Nationality

Name you wish to change ticket to/Their passport Number/Their DOB/Their Nationality

Also you can mail Dave Oliver at dave.oliver@fto.uk.com

    Hi Guys,

I am going to practise day tomorrow, what are the chances of myself and my cousin being allowed in with my tickets that belong to my brother and sister?.

I have emailed tickets@rcts.co.uk but got no response.

This is causing me great concern. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I saw the above two posts but do not have passport numbers to hand to email dave.oliver.
I will have the passports when we go for tomorrow Thursday.

  5. Pat says:

How is Dave Oliver able to change tickets?

  6. B Wheeler says:

I have successfully changed the details assigned to the ticket I have. I know not who Dave Oliver is. I e-mailed rcto (tickets@rcts.co.uk) and they chnged the details for me.

Note: You will need to provide your details (Name, DOB, passport number and Nationality).

    Good Luck

Could someone tell me if are the tickets I have recieved as a gift for Saturday’s play OK if the simply say “RCTS” on the front of them as opposed to my name? I would hate to arrive at the K club on Saturday morning and get turned away!!!

  8. Peter K says:

Thanks about the info regarding changing ticket details. My friend and I bought two tickets for Saturday locally in N.Ireland and were able to get the details for one of the people and most of the other. As the two names were on the same application I was able to supply rcts with n application number as well. I submitted the info this morning to names@rcts.co.uk as you suggested but I haven’t heard anything as yet. I’ll keep you informed. I also intend to bring two methods of photo ID with me on saturday along with my GUI card and hope that this will help satisfy the security. I note that one of the other bloggers on the BBC website stated that this was sufficient for the pratice days. Have you heard anymore about this?

I phoned the Uk office in Cheadle & they changed the name on their database for me but albeit not the ticket (fingers x’d). What’s a good bar to watch the golf in around the temple bar area on Friday ?

  10. Mark C says:

I’m in a similar situation with tickets for saturday and sunday. What’s the number to call in Cheadle and how easy a process was it?

  11. Mark Mc says:

You need the passport details, D.O.B etc for the new name…Only takes 2 mins ! Good Luck

I have just managed to change the name on the Database too via Cheadle number so this is the way forward. Apparently the checking of IDs is random but may happen – but if they look up on the database if name doesn’t match the ticket, it will be fine.

time to relax and enjoy the golf!

  13. Rory says:

i just rang the number in the UK less then 5 mins ago and they said that due to the large volume of name changes going through the system they have stopped changing names in the database an hour ago. Man i hope I don’t spend €120, drive through the traffic, get into the car park and be turned away because somebody somewhere can’t handle ticketing!!

  14. Relaxdel says:

does anyone know if the tickets are ‘scanned’ or is it a case of viual checking the name against the ID??

I would have though scanning would take ages.
