omega-mastersThe race for team places in the European Team for Ryder Cup 2010 is now officially underway with the start of the Omega European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre…

The points competition is for the 8 automatic places is up for grabs, but of course there’s also the very important chance to catch Montgomerie’s eye and play for a wildcard place.

With the Ryder Cup points now zeroed and all to play for Monty had the following to say…

It is a great opportunity for everybody to start from scratch this week in Switzerland and a great opportunity for everybody to make that Team, because I can speak from personal experience, it’s a fantastic atmosphere and a fantastic occasion to be involved with. It’s our Olympic Games, if you like, and I wish everybody every success in their attempts to make it.

Good Luck to all participants!
