My wife and I are disabled and have always dreamed of attending a Ryder Cup. Unfortunately our fixed income makes that dream unlikely. If you know of a corporate or individual sponsor that would assist in making our dream come true please contact me.

[...] This is a map of the Lousiville area and specifically of the Valhalla Golf Club. If you are lucky enough to be getting a corporate hospitality package to the Ryder Cup or are hoping to get tickets through the lottery for the 37th Ryder Cup Matches at Valhalla in Kentucky, you might want to do some research on the area. I love to see where I’m going on a Map - it’s a really useful way of seeingwhere you hotel is in relation to the course, where the course is in relation to the airport etc… [...]

I believe Paul Azinger was chosen becasue of his media presence and not his ability to coach players in a rider cup. Yes, he has a respectable Ryder Cup record and is a cancer servivor. But, does that make him a coach?
From the american perspective, if we were serious about winning the Ryder Cup, why not provide a coach that is used to coaching a team? Especially one that is used to coaching big egos like Phil Jackson.
Far too often, over the years, I have seen great golfers do poorly in the Ryder Cup. Yet they are never pulled from the next match. Why not set Tiger woods, or Phil Michelson down and make them want it a little more?

[...] Paul Azinger is widely rumoured to have been selected to captain the US for the 37th Ryder Cup in Valhalla in 2008. Having represented his country in four times in the Ryder Cup, Azinger has a 5-7-3 record. He was never beaten in a singles match and bested both Ballesteros and Olazabal. Azinger was born in Holyoke on Jan 6th 1960 and he turned professional in 1981. His career coincided with that of Nick Faldo and as well as sharing the ABC Sports commentary box for the last 2 years they have met in several epic matches including 4 Ryder Cup matches. The US will be hoping that his record of 2 wins and 2 draws against Faldo in Ryder cup matches is auspicious and that his captaincy can herald an new era for the American Ryder Cup team. Having been humiliated by the Europeans in the last 3 matches the US really need a shot in the arm. Will Azinger be able to motivate the US players to bring their A game in 2008? [...]

Hi Phil,

The 37th Ryder Cup will be held in Kentucky and the draw will take place in the autumn of 2007. To be in with a chance of being selected to buy the tickets register you interest with the PGA at http://ticketing.pgalinks.com they will then contact you with the ticket pricing and other details once they are available.

Hi,
I'm very keen to be in the States to see the 36th Ryder Cup. Although I am currently living in the UK, I would very much welcome the opportunity of a chance to enter the draw for tickets.

Thanks.

[...] If you are interested in going to the Ryder Cup 2008 at Valhalla then you should register your interest with the PGA online here and the PGA will send you ticket information including pricing early in 2007. The ticketing process for the Ryder Cup is by means of a draw. (Unless you stump up for expensive corporate hospitality tickets closer to the event). The draw will take place in the the fall of 2007.
