Jack Nicklaus designed the course at Valhalla which will be used for the Ryder Cup Matches in 2008.

The 36th Ryder Cup Matches in September 2006 will be played on the Arnold Palmer designed North course at the K Club. Samuel Ryder was born in Preston Lancashire on 24th March in 1858. He was the son of a Manchester corn merchant and was educated at Manchester University.
