Ryder Cup 2010
Wales will host the 38th Ryder Cup in 2010. The event will be held at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport in South Wales. Ian Woosnam is the offical ambassador for Team Wales in the run up to the event in 2010.
The Welsh will be taking this opportunity to showcase Wales and golfing in Wales to the world. First Minister Rhodri Morgan was delighted with the opportunity for Wales and said, “Getting The 2010 Ryder Cup to come to The Celtic Manor Resort in Wales is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our country to show the world what we have to offer.
Terry Matthews and his team are investing a huge effort in putting Wales and Celtic Manor Resort on the map.

Ryder Cup 2010 - Does anyone know the radius distance from Celtic Manor you have to be in to receive free or discounted tickets? Here’s a video titled “what to expect”. Local people and their comments on the Ryder Cup and it being on their doorstep.

Wendy - The details for 2010 ticketing is not out yet and is usually about 12-18 months before the event so it will be a while yet. It is likely the same lottery system will apply unless you can afford one of the corporate packages to guarantee you get a ticket.

I was disappointed last time as I had to go into a lottery which wasn’t forthcomimg.

We would like to enter the lottery for ryder cup 2010 tickets and at the same time we would like to offer our services as marshalls for the event. We regularly marshall at Wentworth for the BMW Matchplay and also the Seniors, so we do have loads of marshalling experience. Please get in touch with us and let us know how to do these things. Hi All
I used contacted a local travel company called ‘City Travel’ that seems to have a good range of accomodation near the Celtic Manor for 2010, all the hotels I spoke to aren’t offering their rooms direct to the public! here’s the weblink http://www.citrav.com/ryder-cup-wales.php , seems there aren’t that many hotels in the area, so demand will far outweigh supply!!

would love to marshal at celtic manor 2 avid golfers have travelled to most venues inc masters 1996 we are 9 and 14 hcap we feel so good we could actually play if needed for either team
