Park 'n Ride is Moving

Park and Ride
Click here for a zoomed in view, note the new Park ‘n Ride facilities at pushpins 2 and 3.

Yep this is true albeit a little unbelievable. The southern park and ride facility for the Ryder Cup is moving. The park and ride facility which was previously located at Palmerstown House/PGA National Centre at Johnstown will no longer be in operation due to boggy conditions. Instead the new park ‘n ride facility will be located at the Punchestown Racecourse where (more…)

Ryder Cup Traffic and Travel Warning

Umbrella

Take your umbrella and a large dose of patience if you’re off to the K Club for the Ryder cup. The BBC have slammed the practice day organisation at the K Club as inefficient, badly planned and poorly run. Citing flaws in the public transport system and huge delays reporters at the event have been scathing with respect to the organisation. (more…)

Changing Ryder Cup Tickets

Ryder Cup Tickets

Well contrary to what has been said on previous articles on this site I just found out this morning that it is possible to change the name on your Ryder Cup tickets. You need to contact the Ryder Cup Ticket office by using their contact form on www.rcts.co.uk or by emailing them at names@rcts.co.uk. You will need to send the full details for the orginal ticket holder and for the name of the person you wish to assign it to (this includes passport numbers and full names, addresses and dates of birth).

The bad news I’m afraid is that having tried all contact methods this morning I still am awaiting a response from them. If anybody else has any experience with this, positive or negative, please do let us know.

Paul McGinley – Hero or Zero?

Monday, September 11th, 2006

Paul McGinley

Three performances stand out on in career of Paul McGinley; representing Ireland on the winning team of the Golf World Cup in 1997, holing the winning put at the Belfry to secure victory for the European Team in the 2002 Ryder Cup and winning the Volvo Masters at Valderrama in 2005. These were big performances in big events but can he replicate it? Based on his current run of form the omens don’t look good and Woosnam must be worried.

At the weekend just gone McGinley again failed to make the cut at the Singapore Masters by a full five strokes. In the previous competition at the BMW International Open McGinley also failed to make the cut when a a big performance was needed from him to make absolutely sure of his own Ryder Cup place. (more…)
